Analytics

Analytics counts the visits to your site, kept by the site itself. It sets no cookies and sends nothing to anyone else. The site needs no consent banner for it.

What it shows

Pick 7d, 30d or 90d at the top.

  • Daily visits: a bar per day, with the busiest day's count.
  • Top pages: the fifteen most visited. Press one for that page's own daily trend, and All pages to return.
  • Language: which of the site's languages visitors read in.
  • How they arrived: Direct, From this site, Search engines, Social media and Other sites.
  • Top searches: what residents search for most on the site.
  • Searches with no results: what they looked for and did not find, a list of pages worth writing.

The two search lists cover all time. See Search.

Export CSV downloads the counts for every page, with the daily, language, arrival and search figures.

What a visit is

A visit counts once a visitor has stayed on a page for a moment, once per page per browsing session. Admin pages and known search robots stay out of the count.

The site keeps a count per day, page, language, region and kind of arrival. It keeps no address, no device and no record of a single visitor.

Views in the content lists

Each item in a content list also shows its own view count and a small seven-day chart, on a wide screen.

Who does what
