Content
Everything a visitor reads on your website is content: pages, blog posts, notices, events, places and service links. Each kind has its own list in the admin sidebar, under Content, and they all share one editor.
- Pages: the site's standing pages, nested into its menu.
- Posts and notices: blog articles, and news and public notices.
- Events: what's on, dated and located.
- Places: visitor and tourism listings, on the map.
- Service links: the entry points to your services, in the header, the homepage and the menu.
- Sections: the blocks that compose a page: banners, cards, figures, FAQs and more.
- Rich text: writing the body, with headings, lists, links, images and embeds.
- Media: images and documents, and the library that holds them.
- Maps: pins, routes and areas on an item, and the community map.
- Revisions and approval: every saved version, and review before publishing.
- Publishing: drafts, scheduling, taking an item down, and who sees it.
A content list
Press a kind of content in the sidebar to open its list.
- Search title or web address… finds an item when you press Enter.
- The filters show All, Published, Drafts or Deleted, and Submitted on a site that asks for approval.
- Each row shows the item's title, its address, its view count and status, and chips for what needs attention: a parked edit, a missing translation, or Sign-in only.
- New creates an item. Export CSV downloads the list.
The status chip is a control. Press a draft's chip to publish it, or a published item's to take it off the site; each asks you first.
Tick rows to act on several at once: Publish, Unpublish or Delete. A deleted item moves to the Deleted filter, where Restore brings it back. An administrator can delete it permanently from there.
The editor
Every kind of content opens in the same editor, in three cards.
- Identity & publication: the item's Web address, the part after your site's address. Lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, and slashes on a page.
- Content: the fields that kind carries, one box per language for the text a visitor reads.
- Publish: the Status, the Visibility, and the dates on posts, notices and events.
Fields marked * must be filled before the item publishes. A draft saves with any field empty.
Save writes your change. On a published item it is live at once.
The editor's header holds Preview, which shows the saved item on its public page, and History, every saved version. See Publishing and Revisions and approval.
Your work is kept
- This browser kept an unsaved draft appears when you return to an item you left unsaved in the same tab, with Restore draft.
- Park for later keeps your unsaved change on the server, to finish from any computer. Your next real Save clears it.
- Undo and Redo step through your changes on the form.
- Leaving with unsaved changes asks you first.
Editing from the public site
Signed in, you see Edit this page on the site's own pages. It opens that page in the editor.
