Your site

The Site settings group in the admin sidebar shapes the website as a whole. Administrators see all of it. Editors see Media and Contact inbox.

  • Navigation: the main menu, built from your pages.
  • Landing: the images behind the homepage headline.
  • Site identity: your name, logos, colours and contact details.
  • Redirects: old addresses that forward to new ones.
  • Search: what the site's search finds, and what residents look for.
  • Social media and RSS: your official channels, and the news and calendar feeds.
  • Subscribers: email and phone notifications for news, notices and events.
  • Contact: the public contact form and the inbox it fills.
  • Analytics: visits, top pages, how people arrive and what they search for.
  • Accessibility: what the site does for every visitor, and what editors add.

The Settings screen holds the operational values of the site: two-factor sign-in, upload limits and token lifetimes. It needs the Core settings access described in Staff and roles.

The status dots

Each entry in Site settings carries a dot. Green means nothing needs attention, amber means something is worth a look, red means something is broken, and grey means there is nothing there yet. Rest on a dot to read why.
