Audit history

Admin › Audit history keeps every recorded change: who made it, when, and what it changed. A change to many records at once is one event.

The list

Events list newest first, each with what happened, who did it and when. An event that touched several records says how many. The list loads more as you scroll.

Search records… finds events by the record's name. Filters narrows by:

  • State: Live, Archived or Destroyed;
  • Record type;
  • Action: created, changed, deleted, signed in, invited, issued, picked up and the rest;
  • Person;
  • the date range.

The list opens on the last 30 days. A range covers up to 31 days, up to a year when narrowed to one person or one record name, and up to 180 days with Go to record.

Go to record narrows the list to one asset or class and everything under it. Movements, in an asset's ⋯, opens this page for that asset.

⋯ More exports what the filters show as CSV, Excel or JSON.

An event

Open an event to see each record it touched, and for each record the fields it changed, with the value before and after. The audit trail reads only. Nobody edits it.

Live, Archived and Destroyed

  • Live: the current trail.
  • Archived: an automation moves older events here after a number of days.
  • Destroyed: a second automation destroys archived events later. The records they deleted go for good, and the event stays with who, when and which fields, without the values.

Both automations sit in Automations › System – Audit, and each sets its own number of days.

Restoring an archived event

An Archived event's ⋯ holds Restore. It puts back every record the event changed or deleted, as one action. A record that changed since, a value you cannot see, or a change a rule refuses stays as it is, and the answer says how many.

Destroy removes the records the event deleted for good and clears the values it kept, after you confirm. The event stays, marked Destroyed.
