Contacts
A contact is anyone assets can be assigned to, and the payer or applicant a request names: a person or an organisation, with or without an account in Aptli. A staff member, a portal user, a guest and a supplier are all contacts.
Admin › Contacts lists them.
A contact
New contact, or a contact's name, opens its window:
- Kind: Person or Organisation;
- Email, Phone and the postal address;
- Notes and tags;
- Known in: the other systems that know this contact, each with Its id there, such as a user account, a portal account, a guest link or a record in another system. Add a key adds one. Each key names one contact.
Under the contact, its window lists:
- Assignments: the assets assigned to the contact, out or booked;
- Deliveries: every message sent to the contact and whether it arrived.
An email that bounces for good, or a text message that fails for good, marks the contact Cannot reach on that channel. Aptli then holds messages to that address, and System health lists them as failed deliveries. Correcting the address reopens the channel, and so does Clear on the mark.
Delete removes a contact once nothing is assigned to it.
Finding contacts
Search by name or email searches the list. Filters narrows by:
- Kind: people or organisations;
- Account: with or without an account;
- Reach: contacts that Cannot reach on some channel;
- Assets: contacts with assets out or booked;
- Known in: the systems that know them;
- tags, and deleted contacts.
